About Maggie's Tokyo

Maggie’s Tokyo is the second of our affiliated overseas centres after Maggie’s Hong Kong. It opened in 2016 after a local group worked for many years to bring the Maggie’s concept to Japan.

Maggie’s Tokyo was made possible thanks to the tenacity and determination of Masako Akiyama, Director of Hakujuji Visiting Nurse Station in Japan, and Miho Suzuki, a young journalist who was diagnosed with breast cancer aged just 24.

The main building was designed by Cosmos More, with the annex museum of design by Nikken Sekkei with architecture coordination by Abe Tsutomu, Kana Aoyama, and Yumiko Sato.
