Unum – supporting people in the workplace

We're proud to have worked in partnership with Unum, one of the UK’s leading providers of financial protection, since 2012.

They've generously raised over £576k to help support people with cancer in the workplace.

About the partnership

Together we offer workshops and webinars to educate and up‐skill employers on how best to support colleagues with cancer, with knowledge, empathy and understanding.

We combine our experience of providing cancer support with their expertise in vocational rehabilitation and workplace wellbeing.

These sessions mean we can make sure that employers are better able to support employees with cancer and enable Unum to offer this valuable support to their clients.

By 2030, it’s estimated that 1.15 million working age people will be living with cancer.

Together, we want to help people who receive that devastating diagnosis and promote understanding among employers to remove barriers to work, empowering the 85% of employees who said it was important for them to keep working after diagnosis to do just that where possible.

– Mark Till, Unum UK CEO

There is an increasing need to provide expert support and guidance to employers and employees living with cancer, so the Cancer in the Workplace sessions we co-deliver with Unum have never been more needed.

We’re proud of everything we have achieved with Unum in the last eight years, and the support we have been able to offer people with cancer and their families.
