We have an opportunity for a Cancer Support Specialist to join the Maggie's Glasgow centre to actively support our visitors to understand and articulate their cancer-related concerns.
The post is open to full-time applicants on a permanent basis. However, a part-time arrangement would be considered for the right candidate.
You will have a nursing degree (or equivalent training), current state registration and at least three years of post-qualification experience within an oncology nursing or related setting.
You will have broad and up-to-date clinical knowledge in the field of cancer and be comfortable using narrative and strong interpersonal skills to assess cancer support needs and elicit concerns.
You will also be well organised and emotionally sensitive while also resilient, as well as able to manage the demands of ongoing emotionally intense work.
