Benefits Advisor - Nottingham (Fixed Term)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Advisor to join our team at our Nottingham centre on a 10-month fixed-term contract.

You will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and its application, good analytical skills, and the ability to understand and summarise complex issues and to develop working relationships for the benefit of income maximisation.

You will work, when necessary, in partnership with other agencies when handling complex cases.

Your responsibilities

• Advise and help people get access to available benefits and other sources of financial help.

• Assist in the completion of benefits claims, maximising an individual’s income.

• Provide comprehensive advice on benefits using a variety of different mechanisms. 

The role can be emotionally intense at times and you should be emotionally sensitive whilst also resilient in order to manage these demands.
