Abseil Guildford Cathedral for Maggie's, Royal Marsden

This October, we will be celebrating 6 years of Maggie's at The Royal Marsden. Join in on the celebrations by taking part in this thrilling challenge and abseil 160ft (150m) down the iconic Guildford Cathedral.

This abseil challenge will see you climb the Bell Tower's spiral staircase of 249 steps, promising wonderful panoramic views of Guildford and Surrey at the top and during your descent.

We are delighted to have partnered with Hatt Adventures and Guildford Cathedral to put on this fundraising challenge.

How to join

• Early Bird registration costs £15 before 31 August 2025
• Standard registration costs £30 after 1 September 2025
  
• We ask that you do your best to fundraise £250 for Maggie's at The Royal Marsden

All money raised will go directly towards supporting our free cancer support services.

Participant Restrictions

Minimum Age – 14 years (must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian).

There is no maximum age, but a doctor's medical note may be required in some circumstances. Please contact our fundraising team for guidance.

Maximum Weight – 100 kg (16 stone).

Medical Issues – If you are in any doubt as to your medical ability to abseil, please contact our fundraising team before registering.

Pregnant women are advised not to take part in this activity.
