Our centre in Middlesbrough is a space for being together or for a moment alone, for getting going again or for meeting people who just get it.
All our cancer support specialists have expert knowledge about cancer and treatment, and many are NHS-trained.

James Cook University Hospital is located on Marton Road (A172) and is clearly signposted from major routes including the A66, A19, and A174.
Public Transport
By rail:
James Cook Railway Station, is operated by Northern Rail and is on the Esk Valley line, which connects Middlesbrough and Whitby via Nunthorpe.
The station is located on the east side of the hospital, just a short five to ten minute walk from the hospital’s South and Bridge entrances.
By bus:
The hospital is well-connected by local bus services. Buses that stop at or near the hospital include:
- Arriva: Routes 28, 28a, 29, and 63
- Generation Travel: Route 322R
- Stagecoach on Teesside: Route 10
