National Garden Scheme and Maggie's

A blooming partnership

Maggie’s would like to thank the National Garden Scheme, a charity that gives visitors access to over 3,600 exceptional private gardens in England and Wales, and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities, including Maggie’s.

Gardens and health

The National Garden Scheme shares Maggie’s passionate belief that gardens and outdoor spaces play a vital role in improving physical and mental health and wellbeing.

We are delighted that our partnership is enabling us to create beautiful gardens and outside spaces for visitors and staff to enjoy.

Supporting Maggie’s

Since 2018, the National Garden Scheme has donated £520,000 to Maggie’s through their Gardens and Health funding programme.

Thank you to the Trustees for their generous support of our work, to the County Organisers and everyone who works so hard getting their gardens ready to show, and to everyone who supports the Scheme by visiting their Open Gardens.

We are delighted to be able to open some of our centre gardens to visitors each year as part of the Open Gardens scheme.

The National Garden Scheme’s generous support has contributed towards the maintenance of Maggie's centre gardens in England and Wales to ensure they retain all-year interest for our visitors to enjoy.

The Scheme's support has enabled us to improve gardens at Maggie's SwanseaMaggie's Newcastle and Maggie's Cheltenham and to create beautiful new gardens with the building of Maggie's Yorkshire, Maggie's Southampton and Maggie's Oxford.

Most recently, the National Garden Scheme has supported a new garden at the planned Maggie's centre in Northampton.
